Local Attractions in the Destin Area
Destin, nicknamed “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” is one of the most popular vacation spots on the Florida panhandle. People travel from all over the US to enjoy the sugar-white sands and emerald-green waters. However, there is more to do in Destin than just going to the beach. Destin and South Walton have some of the best shopping and golf courses in the panhandle. There are also many local restaurants and bars making for an exciting night life.
Traveling with children? In Destin, you will find Big Kahuna’s Water Park and The Track. The Track has mini-golf, bumper boats, go-karts, a bungee jump, a SkyFlyer and an arcade! If you are staying out towards the South Walton area, Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort has many activities for the kids in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. The Village has a playground, a merry-go-found, Eurobungy trampolines, a zip line, and an arcade/laser maze.
