It’s Becoming a Sellers’ Market
Real estate recovery is in full effect right now! According to The Wallstreet Journal, the number of homes listed in January of 2013 fell by 4.9%, which is the lowest it has been since December of 1999. That is great news for a seller, because the number of options out there is dwindling. If this trend continues, that means that prices will continue to rise.
The average amount of time homes are staying on the market has dropped from about 6 months to 4 months in just one year! This may not be great news for buyers, because it means they have less to choose from, but it is great news for sellers.
